USA Chess has a number of programs available for schools who
wish to start an after school club or other chess activity.
Program costs depend on the instructor, duration of classes and
driving distance. Some of the different options include:
~
School/PTA funded program
~ Student funded program
~ One-hour weekly meeting
~ Two-hour weekly meeting
~ Unofficial school club meetings held at USA Chess's
Galleria-area location
USA Chess currently teaches chess at many public and
private schools throughout the DFW area. These programs are run in
a variety of different ways -- some are held after school and
others are part of the school's curriculum and therefore held
during the school day. Some schools do not have organized clubs
and therefore schedule meetings outside of the school. USA Chess's Galleria-area location is a great opportunity for schools
without chess clubs to get together and schedule their own private
chess club training classes.
