I was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. I have lived in Los Angeles and Jamaica for short periods.  I have been playing chess since I was seven years old and I have been competing in tournaments for the past 4 years. I have reached the level of chess Expert (Candidate Master) .  I plan to reach the Master level within the next two years. I attended Cornell University and I graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor's in Psychology.
         My teaching experiences have been fulfilling  and have given me the opportunity to travel and meet many wonderful people. For the past 3 years I have taught for the Chess in the Schools program in NY, Let's Play Chess, NYChesskids and the Marshall chess club. Many of my students have competed in city, state and National tournaments. Enthusiastic students tend to bring out my best.  Most notably, my work with USA Chess Inc has brought me a lot of good friends and great students.  I hope to share my love of chess to many people in the future.
