Co-Founder, Life National Master Noureddine Ziane
Life National Master Noureddine Ziane,
is a nationally renowned children's chess coach who co-founded USA
Chess in 1997 and sold the company in 2004. He has a B.S. in
Computer Science (2000) and an MBA (2002) from the University of
Texas at Dallas where he was the first ever UTD chess scholarship
recipient and the captain and board 1 of the chess team for four
years. A native of Morocco, Mr. Ziane was the Moroccan National
Junior Champion at age 15, and later, as an exchange student
living in Rochester, N.Y., he won the New York State High School
Chess Championship. It is at the Rochester Chess Center that he
discovered his passion for teaching and quickly earned a name for
himself as being excellent communicator. Mr. Ziane also attended
Shimer College in Illinois on a full chess scholarship prior to
attending UTD. While in Illinois he coached several state and
national champions and earned the prestigious ‘Billy Colias
Excellence in Teaching Award’ awarded by the Illinois Chess
Association. Mr. Ziane is an extremely in-demand instructor and
has coached thousands of students throughout the past 15 years. An
innumerable amount of his students and teams have won local,
regional and national championships.
