USA Chess has a number of programs available for schools who wish to start an after school club or other chess activity. Program costs depend on the instructor, duration of classes and driving distance. Some of the different options include:

~ School/PTA funded program
~ Student funded program
~ One-hour weekly meeting
~ 1.5 hours weekly meeting

USA Chess currently teaches chess at many public and private schools across the country, and has recently expanded to offer programs in Washington DC. These programs are run in a variety of different ways -- some are held after school and others are part of the school's curriculum and therefore held during the school day. Some schools do not have organized clubs and therefore schedule meetings outside of the school.
